KAZOKU JAPANESE RESTAURANT
2023
BEDFORD, UNITED KINGDOM
RESTAURANT DESIGN
Kazoku is a line of Japanese restaurants that is first introduce in 2016, that promises its diners with an authentic and extensive array of Japanese food. An undistinguished choice to savour and satisfy your Japanese food cravings. We have been approached by Kazoku to design its second branch, an approach geared towards a Japanese themed ambiance; a cozy environment with warm undertone.
The design concept for Kazoku’s second branch revolves around creating a tranquil and authentic Japanese dining experience. Inspired by the essence of Japanese culture, the ambiance will be characterized by a harmonious blend of natural elements, minimalist design, and traditional Japanese aesthetics.
Natural materials like wood and stone will dominate the interior, evoking a sense of warmth and connection to nature. Wooden furnishings and accents will infuse the space with a cozy atmosphere, while stone elements, such as a small rock garden or stone accents, will add a touch of serenity and balance.
Minimalist design principles will guide the layout, with clean lines and uncluttered spaces enhancing the sense of calm and simplicity. Traditional Japanese elements like shoji screens, sliding doors, and tatami mats will be incorporated to lend an air of authenticity to the environment.
Warm lighting fixtures, such as paper lanterns and concealed LED strips, will create a soft and inviting ambiance, while private dining areas inspired by Japanese tea houses will offer guests a more intimate experience. Outside, a Japanese garden patio adorned with bonsai trees and stone lanterns will provide a tranquil outdoor dining space.
